Privacy Policy
Effective October 7, 2026.
Cleat Sheet (thecleatsheet.com) lists youth fastpitch tournaments that hosts post publicly and lets coaches keep track of the ones they care about. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect only what the site needs to work, we don't sell or share your information for advertising, and you can delete your account at any time.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the name Google shares with us. We don't receive or store a password.
- What you add: your teams (name, age group, class, state), the tournaments you save, the status you set on them (for example "registered" or "paid"), and any notes you write. Notes are private to you.
- Sign-in records: when you signed in, and technical details needed to keep your account secure (such as your IP address and browser type), kept by our sign-in provider.
We don't use advertising or tracking tools, and we don't create player accounts or collect information about players.
Tournament information
Tournament listings come from pages that hosts and governing bodies publish openly (PlayFPN, USA Softball and the USA Softball Northeast Region). Where those pages list the teams entered, we show the team name and hometown only, never coaches' or players' personal details. To correct or remove something, contact the host where it's posted or email us.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your teams and saved tournaments available on any device.
- To understand how the site is used overall (see "Visit statistics" below).
- To send emails you ask for, such as sign-in codes.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Services that help us run the site
These companies process information on our behalf, only to provide their service. Data is stored in the United States.
- Supabase: database and sign-in (stores your account, teams, saved tournaments and notes).
- Resend: sends sign-in emails.
- Google: "Sign in with Google", if you choose it.
- Cloudflare: hosts the website, counts visits (see below) and forwards email sent to our support address.
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr: deliver the site's fonts and code files, so they see your IP address when the page loads.
Visit statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see overall numbers, such as how many people visit, which pages they view and which sites sent them. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't identify you, and doesn't follow you to other websites. We only ever see totals, never a record of what one person did.
Cookies and storage
The site saves your sign-in session and a few preferences (such as your last selected team) in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. We don't use cookies for advertising, analytics or tracking.
Organizations
If you accept an invitation from a club or organization and link a team to it, that organization becomes the team's owner. Its owners, admins and treasurers can see the team's saved tournaments and their statuses, but never your notes. If you leave or are removed, the organization keeps the team and its history.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your account until you delete it. To delete your account and everything you've added, email support@thecleatsheet.com from the address you sign in with; we'll confirm within 7 days. Deleting your account removes your teams, saved tournaments and notes, except teams that belong to an organization, which stay with that organization. You can also ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it.
Children
Cleat Sheet accounts are for adults (coaches, parents and club staff). The site isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Information travels over encrypted connections, sign-in uses one-time codes or Google instead of passwords, and database rules limit each account to its own information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll let account holders know by email.
